WWE Champion John Cena vs. Mark Henry at Money In The Bank Preview

If the Cenation thought John Cena’s schedule as a WWE Champion would get any easier once he turned back the sizable challenge of Ryback at WWE Payback, they were sorely mistaken.
At Money in the Bank on July 14, The Champ will face a new monster of a contender in the form of Mark Henry, the 400-pound-plus powerhouse who thrives on causing pain and appears bent not just on destruction, but also on capturing the WWE Title around Cena’s waist.
Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero made the championship bout official on the June 17 edition of Raw after The World’s Strongest Man callously leveled Cena only one night removed from The Champ’s Three Stages of Hell Match against Ryback. In the moments immediately preceding the attack, Henry delivered what many believed to be a heartfelt swan song meant to cap off a stellar 17-year career in WWE. Instead, Henry’s retirement speech was merely a ruse, a setup used to lull a respectful Cena into a false sense of security and make him easy prey.
Henry strings along the WWE Universe | Photos from the Three Stages of Hell Match
Now, the Cenation leader and Henry are on a collision course for July 14, and if Cena loyalists aren't concerned about their hero’s title reign — not to mention his physical well-being — they ought to be.
Ill-tempered even on the best of days, Henry is sporting a huge chip on his shoulder, and it seemingly has everything to do with a single objective: winning the WWE Championship that has eluded him in his near two decades of competition. WWE fans will remember that Henry set his sights on Cena the night after WrestleMania 29, only to have another monster, Ryback, steal the spotlight with a high-profile act of betrayal.
Lost in the commotion was the fact that Henry pinned Ryback on The Grandest Stage of Them All.  Considering how much trouble Cena had overcoming the Shell Shocking Superstar in recent months, will he be up to the challenge of Mark Henry, one of WWE’s few competitors to hold a completely valid pinfall victory over “The Human Wrecking Ball”?
Henry also takes a discomforting amount of pride in being the reckless and ruthless gatekeeper of the “Hall of Pain.” The list of Superstars who have been put out of action by the superheavyweight is lengthy, reading like a “Who’s who” of WWE. Could The Champ — who’s been plagued by injuries as varied as bone chips in his elbow to a nearly torn meniscus to a torn Achilles tendon — be walking into the most dangerous match of his 11th WWE Title reign at Money in the Bank?
Find out what happens when Cena’s indefatigable spirit is put to the test by more than 400 pounds of bad attitude and bone-breaking expertise. To watch all the action, catch WWE Money in the Bank live on pay-per-view on Sunday, July 14.

Raw Five-Point Preview: July 1, 2013

Tensions between CM Punk and Paul Heyman were smoothed over with a hug on last week’s Raw. But are things really OK in Camp Heyman? A tag team victory for the “Heyman Guys” could be just the thing needed to cool things off in the Heyman stable as a hot July comes roaring in. Here are five reasons Monday’s Raw is must-see as Money in the Bank fast approaches.

1. 'Heyman Guys' vs. The Prime Time Players

Last week, CM Punk seemed unsure of how he felt about receiving assistance from Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel in fending off a 2-on-1 attack from The Prime Time Players. This week, the pair of "Paul Heyman Guys" will team up to face Young & O'Neil in tag action. With Brock Lesnar's recent attack on Punk causing friction between Punk and Heyman, a tag team victory could be just thing to smooth things over within Heyman's circle.
Is the Paul Heyman circle on the brink of implosion?

2. Is Mark Henry nothing but a liar?

Mark Henry relished in fooling the entire WWE Universe into believing he was retiring. Now The World's Strongest Man declares he will dethrone WWE Champion John Cena at Money in the Bank and walk off with his title. Will Henry’s prediction come true on July 14? Will he finally capture a title that has eluded him his entire career? Or, is Henry's championship claim just another big lie? Who will make the next move as the WWE Title Match at Money in the Bank fast approaches?Watch seven best World’s Strongest Slams

3. Is the party coming to an end for Del Rio?

Dolph Ziggler doesn’t want to accept the fact that he lost the World Title to Alberto Del Rio at WWE Payback. Ever since, he's been hell-bent on letting the WWE Universe know it. On Friday's SmackDown, The Showoff crashed Del Rio's "Championship Fiesta" and smashed Ricardo Rodriguez with a guitar. Will Del Rio ever get to relish in regaining the World Title, or will Ziggler continue to chase him all the way to their Money in the Bank match?Dolph Ziggler explains his frustrations with not being World Heavyweight Champion

4. Will AJ Lee or Kaitlyn strike next?

First it was Divas Champion AJ Lee who infuriated Kaitlyn by donning a muscle suit to mock her last week on Raw. On SmackDown, the Hybrid Diva got a measure of retribution when her AJ outfit led to a distraction, causing AJ to lose her match to Natalya. As tensions boil over in an emotional war between the two former best friends, what will happen next?
The many faces of AJ Lee

5. Is an angry Big Red Monster coming to Raw?

Last week’s Raw marked a milestone moment in Daniel Bryan’s career when he forced Randy Orton to tap out. On SmackDown, The Viper scored a win over Kane when Bryan shoved Kane back into the ring to continue the match — and right into the waiting fangs of The Viper and an RKO. The loss brought a smile to Bryan's face. How will The Big Red Monster respond this week? Tune in at 8/7 CT on USA Network to find out.

WWE SmackDown Results: June 28, 2013

Fiesta Del Ziggler.
The 723rd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the Colonial Life Arena on the campus of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. SmackDown would be the home of Fiesta Del Rio as World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio would celebrate himself just a few weeks before he defends the gold against Dolph Ziggler. The rivalry between Sheamus and Damien Sandow would be taken to a new and more extreme level as “The Celtic Warrior” would face “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” in a brutal and lawless Dublin Street Fight! After claiming no responsibility for Brock Lesnar’s attack on CM Punk last week, Paul Heyman would have to answer to The Miz as “The Awesome One” welcomes Heyman to Miz TV! After tapping out to an extreme variation of the No Lock of Daniel Bryan on RAW, Randy Orton would target Daniel Bryan’s former tag team partner as “The Viper” would go one-on-one with “The Big Red Monster” Kane just two weeks before they are both part of Money-in-the-Bank All-Stars. After Jimmy & Jey Uso saved him from a beat down from The Shield on Main Event, “Captain Charisma” Christian would team with the new #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles, Jimmy & Jey Uso, to face The Shield, United States Champion Dean Ambrose and WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns, in a 6-Man Tag Match.
Match Results
  • Dublin Street Fight: Sheamus def. Damien Sandow by pin following the Brogue Kick.
  • Non-Title: Natalya (with Kaitlyn) def. AJ Lee by roll-up.
  • Randy Orton (with Daniel Bryan) def. Kane by pin following the RKO.
  • Ryback def. Justin Gabriel by pin following Shell Shocked.
  • 6-Man Tag: Christian and Jimmy & Jey Uso def. The Shield by Christian pinning Dean Ambrose following the Spear.
Detailed Results
The packed Friday night kicks off with a down and dirty Dublin Street Fight as “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus would go one-on-one with “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” Damien Sandow with no disqualifications and no count-outs and with Irish-themed items available to use! It would not take long for the match to get brutal as Sheamus would take Damien Sandow to the outside and after taking a pummeling from Sheamus, Damien Sandow would begin to show his vicious side, sending Sheamus shoulder-first into the ring post and delivering a hip-toss into a tap table. Sheamus would battle back, however, tossing a keg into the chest of Damien Sandow and waylaying Sandow with a sack of potatoes! Later on in the match, Damien Sandow would toss green kendo sticks into the ring, but the time Sandow took would allow Sheamus to grab a green bar stool, using it against Sandow to get the advantage in the match. The advantage would be short-lived, however, as Sandow uses a steel chair, driving into the mid-section of Sheamus, nearly picking up the victory from the shot. Sandow follows this up by dropping Sheamus face-first into the steel chair, which was set upside down. Sandow would then hit the Terminus, but Sheamus would kick out and the intellectual Superstar would wear Sheamus out with kendo stick shots, but “The Celtic Warrior” would still refuse to lose. Beaten and battered, Sheamus would toss a steel chair into the face of Damien Sandow, allowing Sheamus to get his hands on a kendo stick, using it to bust Sandow up. Sheamus then sets up two steel chairs in the center of the ring and, after failing to drop Sandow on the steel with White Noise, “The Celtic Warrior” would crack Sandow with a kendo stick, forcing Sandow to plop down in the seated position on the chairs and Sheamus would topple Sandow with the Brogue Kick, pinning Sandow to pick up the hard-fought victory!
Backstage, Daniel Bryan confronts his former tag team partner, Kane, who says that he does not want to hear Daniel Bryan brag about his win over Randy Orton on RAW. Kane does congratulate Bryan, however, saying that Bryan’s win was an “upset” and Bryan argues that the only upset was that he did not get the job done the first time. Bryan then says that he did not need Kane’s help on RAW, but he will help Kane in his match against Randy Orton when he is on commentary. Bryan then forces a hug on a seething Kane.
After seemingly convincing CM Punk that he had nothing to do with Brock Lesnar’s attack on last week’s RAW, the conniving Paul Heyman would have to answer to “The Awesome One” as The Miz welcomes Heyman to Miz TV. After introducing his guest, The Miz says that Paul Heyman always has an “answer for everything”, but when Miz asked Heyman about his suggestion of a CM Punk and Brock Lesnar tag team on RAW, Heyman says that he is not out there to discuss his “personal life”. The Miz fires back, saying that, last week, Renee Young didn’t want to talk about her personal life, but Heyman still drug Renee’s personal past into the spotlight. The Miz then dares Heyman to “bully” him like Heyman did to Renee. Heyman immediately begins to sweat The Miz, saying that he is just an “advocate” and would not dream of attempting to bully a former WWE Champion like The Miz. Instead, Heyman introduces a man who can bully The Miz, his client, the Intercontinental Champion, Curtis Axel. With Axel in the ring, The Miz says that he thinks that Heyman is lying about his involvement with Brock Lesnar’s attack on CM Punk, but that is not his concern right now, saying that the Intercontinental Champion is on his show, uninvited. Heyman says that he is a guest on Miz TV and Curtis Axel is his guest, but suggests that The Miz is too “intimidated” to question Heyman with Curtis Axel in the ring. The Miz asks Curtis Axel how the third-generation star will fit into the Paul Heyman mold once he takes the Intercontinental Title away from him. Curtis says that he is very possessive of the Intercontinental Title and he takes The Miz’s threats very “personally”. The Miz then gets in the Intercontinental Champion’s face, challenging him to defend the gold against him right now! However, Heyman steps in, saying that his clients do not “fight for free” and Curtis Axel does not defend the title on an “impromptu basis”. When The Miz gets in the face of Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel spots his chance to strike, kicking The Miz in the knee and dropping “The Awesome One” with the Axel Cutter!
Following her mockery of Kaitlyn on RAW, the Divas Champion was in action on SmackDown as AJ Lee, with Big E. Langston in her corner, went one-on-one with Natalya in a non-title match. However, before the match begins, Kaitlyn skips out to the stage, doing her best AJ Lee impersonation, claiming that, in addition to CM Punk, Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Dolph Ziggler, AJ has also had relationships with WWE’s Timekeeper, Mark Yeaton, and WWE’s ringside physician Dr. Sampson, as well as SmackDown Ring Announcer Lilian Garcia! The match would then get underway and, during the match, Kaitlyn would skip around ringside and, unlike AJ Lee’s distraction on RAW, Kaitlyn’s distraction would succeed as Natalya would roll AJ Lee up, pinning the Divas Champion for the win! After the match, Kaitlyn would get a measure of payback, blasting the Divas Champion with the Spear.
Backstage, SmackDown Senior Advisor Theodore Long is confronted by WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, who asks about the participants for the World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match and Theodore Long says that he wanted to think outside the box and focus on the future of the WWE. Long then reveals to the Chairman that the World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match will feature Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Fandango, Dean Ambrose, Cody Rhodes, & Damien Sandow with the winner earning a guaranteed shot at the World Heavyweight Title!
With Daniel Bryan a guest on commentary, “The Big Red Monster” Kane would go one-on-one with the man that Daniel Bryan defeated on RAW, “The Viper” Randy Orton. During the match, Kane would get knocked to the outside and while Kane took a moment to compose himself, Daniel Bryan would decide to “help” his former partner, sending Kane back into the ring and right into the RKO from Randy Orton en route to Orton picking up the win! However, Daniel Bryan did not appear upset over costing Kane the match as Bryan smiles all the way up the ramp.
Just over two weeks before he faces Chris Jericho at Money-in-the-Bank, Ryback was in action on SmackDown as “The Sin City Cyborg” faced Justin Gabriel. Justin Gabriel would work over the leg of Ryback throughout the match, but Ryback would power through, dropping Gabriel with Shell Shocked en route to picking up the win. After the match, Chris Jericho rushes out, feigning concern for Ryback’s injured leg before suggesting that, given all of the complaining he does, he should change his name to “Cryback”! Jericho then rushes the ring, targeting the injured leg of Ryback, but “The Sin City Cyborg” narrowly escapes, making a quick exit from the ring.
After targeting Christian on last week’s SmackDown and on Wednesday’s Main Event, “Captain Charisma” would enlist the help of Jimmy & Jey Uso to face The Shield, United States Champion Dean Ambrose and WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns, in a 6-Man Tag Match. In the end, it was Christian hitting the Spear on Dean Ambrose, picking up a rare 6-Man Tag victory over The Shield for Christian and Jimmy & Jey Uso!
Then it was time for World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio’s celebration of himself as Del Rio, along with Ricardo Rodriguez, would present Fiesta Del Rio, complete with a mariachi band and a piñata! Del Rio says that they are out there to celebrate that he is the World Heavyweight Champion and he is going to do things his way. The champion then states that, for his fiesta, he is going to only speak Spanish. After doing a promo in Spanish, the World Heavyweight Champion then decides to get down to playing some “games”. With that, Del Rio targets the Dolph Ziggler piñata, busting the piñata open and saying that he busted open that piñata just like he bashed in Dolph Ziggler’s brains at Payback. Del Rio then vows to do the same thing in two weeks at Money-in-the-Bank, saying he will retain the World Heavyweight Title. Del Rio then says that Dolph Ziggler promised to crash his fiesta before actually daring the #1 Contender to come out and face him. Ziggler does just that, taking his time in getting to the ring before brawling with the World Heavyweight Champion! After tossing Ricardo Rodriguez out of the ring, Dolph takes it to Del Rio and, when Rodriguez tries to come off of the top rope, Ziggler grabs Rodriguez, tossing Ricardo off of the top and through a table filled with chips and salsa! Dolph then drops Del Rio with the Zig Zag, but the champion narrowly escapes a guitar shot from Ziggler, which results in Dolph smashing the guitar across the face of Ricardo Rodriguez! As the mariachi band plays, Dolph Ziggler enjoys his own fiesta.

WWE Smackdown Results June 21 2013

DAYTON, OH – SmackDown sizzled in the wake of WWE Payback, featuring World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio against Chris Jericho, a tough-as-nails Intercontinental Championship Rematch and a personal showdown for respect between The Viper and WWE’s submission specialist.

Still frustrated that his match against Randy Orton was stopped on Raw,Daniel Bryan expressed his belief that the WWE officials responsible did so not because of injury, but because they felt he was the “weak link.” Still, he placed the greatest blame on Orton himself, believing that WWE’s Apex Predator had pitied him like a “little dog.”

Exclusive: Bryan discusses his match being stopped | Exclusive: Triple H's side of story The Viper emerged to make it clear that their match had been stopped because people were worried about Bryan’s safety. He explained that he hadn’t pitied the submission specialist, but respected him for how hard he fought. When Bryan made it clear that he would shove the “respect” that the nine-time World Champion claimed to have for him down his throat in their SmackDown main event match, the fed-up Orton said he would hurt his opponent so bad that he would have to be carried out.

After tasting a post-match Brogue Kick from Sheamus on Raw, Cody Rhodes was poised to get even in a one-on-one SmackDown match against the Irish Superstar.

Photos of Sandow's vicious attack on SheamusIn the height of the action, Sheamus stopped the outside interference of Damien Sandow by ramming Rhodes into him. Wade Barrett is in the ring. Barrett grabs a mic, saying he would like to speak with Paul Heyman. Barrett asks why they are having this match now. Wade could very well injure Axel, getting him out of the match at Payback. Wade thinks it would make business sense to leave this until Sunday. Miz comes out with a mic, saying what would they rather do then have a match. Miz says everyone wants to see a match, starting a fight chant.

WWE Payback 2013 Prediction

No fewer than six championships will be decided Sunday at WWE Payback, and that’s saying nothing of the match that holds perhaps the most intrigue for the WWE Universe, CM Punk’s return to in-ring action against Chris Jericho.
Find out how to watch WWE Payback|Watch 10 incredible instances of payback
Who will leave Chicago’s Allstate Arena with their heads held up? Which Superstars are most at risk of ending their nights on their backs, staring up at the lights? Join WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel and members of WWE.com’s editorial staff for match-by-match predictions for Sunday’s huge event, and don’t forget to catch all the action starting with a very special Kickoff to Payback, which will stream live Sunday starting at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.
WWE Hall of Fame announcer Howard Finkel: I believe this contest might very well rival the great Bret Hart vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin match that took place in the very same venue at WrestleMania 13. Jericho is walking intothe “lion’s den” of Punk’s hometown fans, which could throw his game plan awry. Punk should ride that crest of a wave and eke out a hard-earned victory. WINNER: Punk
Anthony Benigno: The Straight Edge Superstar delivers best when people publicly question his ability, and Jericho may have poked the proverbial bear one too many times. Look for Punk to rebound from a trio of high-profile losses against The Rock and The Undertaker … that is, assuming he shows up. WINNER: Punk
Superstars and Legends dish on WWE Payback's "Battle of the Best"
Alex Giannini: It really is an even fight in this “Battle of the Best,” but CM Punk will have home-field advantage in Chicago, a fact that will give The Second City Saint the upper hand. WINNER:Punk
Jake Grate: “The Best in the World” certainly has an impressive record in his own backyard, in addition to several recent wins against Chris Jericho. A legendary Superstar like Y2J, though, can only be defeated by one man so many times before he’s due to return the favor. WINNER: Jericho
John Clapp: CM Punk will show up at Allstate Arena and he’ll be in fighting shape. That still won’t be enough to take down a keenly focused Jericho in a bout that has “Match of the Year contender” written all over it. WINNER: Jericho
Punk: 3, Jericho: 2
Howard Finkel: Sheamus and Sandow have been matching wits over these past few weeks, with each trying to one-up the other, both mentally and physically. To me, it’s this simple: Sheamus will prevail, as Sandow will reach his wit’s end with the Irishman. WINNER: Sheamus
Anthony Benigno: Sheamus had his laughs at Sandow’s expense for a month, but “The Enlightened One” seems to have figured out the Irishman’s M.O. These two always put on classic slugfests; don’t be surprised if Sandow finally gets the better of his longtime rival. WINNER: Sandow
Watch Sandow's latest "test" for the Celtic Warrior
Alex Giannini: It may have started with a series of brain teasers, but the rivalry between Sheamus and Damien Sandow will end in a straight-up brawl. Look for The Celtic Warrior to outsmart the intellectual Superstar in battle. That, or he’ll just Brogue Kick Sandow into oblivion. WINNER: Sheamus
Jake Grate: It’s brawn vs. brains. Meat and potatoes vs. caviar and brie. “Independence Day” vs. “Remains of the Day.” Call me an aristocrat, but I’ll take the domineering, card-carrying M.E.N.S.A. member. WINNER: Sandow
John Clapp: Expect an upset, with “The Intellectual Savior of the Masses” stepping up his game and reminding everyone that he’s got plenty of grit to back up the grey matter. WINNER: Sandow
Sandow: 3, Sheamus: 2
Howard Finkel: When Kane was given this opportunity by Vickie Guerrero, he was elated and hugged her. That’s not the Kane that needs to show up this Sunday. Ambrose knows how to exploit one’s weakness, and in this case, I believe he will get the better of The Big Red Machine, and in the process retain his U.S. Title. WINNER: Ambrose
Alex Giannini: Separated from Daniel Bryan, The Big Red Monster is left to face Dean Ambrose in singles action. Although The Shield has been nothing short of unbeatable since Extreme Rules, there’s an uncanny amount of pent-up aggression within Kane, and Ambrose better watch out. WINNER: Kane
Anthony Benigno: Kane’s got the veteran instinct, but can it be that anger management and a yearlong friendship with Daniel Bryan has dulled the monster’s edge? Ambrose, meanwhile, has the vindictive tendencies of a young Kane, without the emotional baggage of the seasoned 7-footer. WINNER: Ambrose
Jake Grate: After losing the WWE Tag Team Titles to The Shield at Extreme Rules last month, Kane’s bad fortune against the “Hounds of Justice” could very well continue at WWE Payback. Eccentric, unpredictable and electric in the ring, Ambrose will find a way to retain the red, white and blue championship. WINNER: Ambrose
John Clapp: Ambrose has been on fire of late, and concerns that Kane’s lost his killer instinct are not completely groundless. Nonetheless, Kane’s wealth of experience — as well as the bad feelings he harbors toward The Shield for what they did to The Undertaker — will guide him toward his first U.S. Title. WINNER: Kane
Ambrose: 3, Kane: 2
Howard Finkel: I say this with no disrespect whatsoever towards either Wade Barrett or The Miz, but I have been a passenger aboard the Curtis Axel train since it left “Heyman Station.” Next stop: The Intercontinental Championship. If that happens, then it would mark the first time that a father (Mr. Perfect) and son (Axel) have held the title during its existence. WINNER: Axel
Alex Giannini: To call a reigning Intercontinental Champion the “dark horse” of a pay-per-view title defense may seem strange, but heading into WWE Payback, all the focus is on Miz and the newest “Heyman Guy,” Curtis Axel. The Barrett Barrage will see fit to change all that on Sunday. WINNER: Barrett
Anthony Benigno: Barrett’s hit a rough patch of late in his title reign, courtesy of The Miz, and Axel is a wild card whose chicanery runs deep. But the brawling Brit does tend to come through in the clutch when his championship gold is up for grabs. WINNER: Barrett
Axel explains life as a "Heyman Guy"|Barrett's best brawls
Jake Grate: Barrett’s reign with the Intercontinental Championship won’t be able to withstand two challengers. With both the impressive Curtis Axel and the always “awesome” Miz to worry about, The Barrett Barrage will come crashing down in Chicago. Axel, meanwhile, will have to wait for his first taste of WWE championship gold since his personal evolution. WINNER: Miz
John Clapp: The late-game “Heyman Guy” curveball hurts Barrett and Miz in equal measure. Axel, who may be every bit as good as Paul Heyman says he is, will rise to the occasion. WINNER: Axel
Barrett: 2, Axel: 2, Miz: 1
Howard Finkel:This match is too close to call. Kaitlyn rules in the strength and power department, while AJ is fleeter of foot. I feel that it’s going to boil down to a mistake being made by either individual that will lead to her defeat. So if push comes to shove, then I’m shoved toward the crowning of a new Divas Champion this Sunday. WINNER: AJ
Anthony Benigno:AJ wormed her way into Kaitlyn’s psyche with an elaborate catfishing scheme, and it should do the trick to end Kaitlyn’s title reign in a long-brewing grudge match. Look for Dolph’s girl to take her place as the Diva queen. WINNER: AJ
Alex Giannini: When you do the tale of the tape on this one, Kaitlyn has an obvious advantage. But throw in AJ Lee’s propensity for introducing the unexpected, and there’s a pretty good chance the WWE Universe will see a new Divas Champion. WINNER: AJ
Why was Kaitlyn fined $10,000?|See AJ's stunning revelation
Jake Grate: Kaitlyn’s reign with the butterfly-emblazoned title will be just past five months old when she defends it against AJ Lee at WWE Payback. Although “The Hybrid Diva” has proven a more-than-worthy champion, WWE’s most eccentric female competitor will seize the title from her rival. WINNER: AJ
John Clapp: The sinister skipper might’ve done more than just embarrass Kaitlyn. An angrier-than-ever Kaitlyn has the tools and motivation to beat AJ, provided she can endure the head games. WINNER: Kaitlyn
AJ: 4, Kaitlyn: 1
Howard Finkel: The Bryan-Orton tandem is, to me, an oil-and-water situation — they don’t mix. But for some reason that I cannot pinpoint, I feel that these two will somehow find a way to win the titles from Rollins & Reigns. WINNERS: Bryan & Orton
Anthony Benigno: If Orton lets the surging Bryan do his thing and take control, The Shield’s WWE Tag Title reign will be short-lived. The odds of that happening are low, but, as Bryan himself can attest, stranger things have happened in the tag team division. WINNERS: Bryan & Orton
Watch video highlights of Bryan vs. Rollins
Alex Giannini: On paper, the team of Daniel Bryan & Randy Orton seems all but unstoppable. But can the submission specialist and The Viper coexist long enough to down The Shield? I think not. WINNERS: Rollins & Reigns
Jake Grate: Orton was unable to make a tenuous alliance with Sheamus & Big Show work at WrestleMania 29. Bryan has proven to be difficult to partner with in his own right. The superior teamwork and numbers game of The Shield will be too much for the challengers. WINNERS: Rollins & Reigns
John Clapp: Despite a few glaring instances of miscommunication as tag partners, the Bryan-Orton combo has the potential for magic. Plus, it seems unimaginable that anything will get in the way of Bryan, who’s on another competitive plane right now. WINNERS: Bryan & Orton
Bryan & Orton: 3, Rollins & Reigns: 2
Howard Finkel: Although cleared to compete, how effective will Ziggler be in his first title defense in nearly a month? Very! I look for Ziggler to prevail in a close contest, literally just being three seconds better than Del Rio. WINNER: Ziggler
Anthony Benigno: The Showoff is coming off a nasty concussion, and Del Rio has been stewing for his title rematch ever since Ziggler cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. But The Pride of Mexico should be sufficiently softened up by weeks of fighting Big E Langston, and let’s face it: There’s no way Ziggler’s going to let his title reign be this short. WINNER: Ziggler
Alex Giannini: While there’s always the likelihood of so-called “ring rust” when a Superstar takes time off due to an injury, The Showoff is just too good to fail in his first pay-per-view title defense since cashing in Money in the Bank. WINNER: Ziggler
Why does The Showoff "feel bad" for Alberto Del Rio?
Jake Grate: For his first title defense, Ziggler has an uphill battle. Returning from a concussion to face a decorated former champion — who holds a serious and personal grudge, no less — in Alberto Del Rio is a recipe for disaster and defeat. Even AJ Lee and Big E Langston won’t be able to help The Showoff at Allstate Arena. WINNER: Del Rio
John Clapp: Ziggler’s cleared the imPACT test and been given a clean bill of health. Still, one must wonder if any Superstar is ever truly ready for Del Rio’s kick-heavy offense. Forget the Cross Armbreaker; Del Rio shocks all by regaining the title via pinfall. WINNER: Del Rio
Ziggler: 3, Del Rio: 2
Howard Finkel: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. In this case the “tough” is John Cena. His experience in the “pressure cooker” speaks for itself, although I feel that this match will go to the third stage, with Ryback being the one to take the ambulance ride. WINNER: Cena
Anthony Benigno: TheCenation leader has beaten the odds time and again, but his bravery might have met its match in Ryback’s brutality. In their first foray into Three Stages of Hell, it’s Ryback who’ll rule. WINNER: Ryback
Alex Giannini: Since claiming the WWE Title at WrestleMania, John Cena has been plagued by the monster known as Ryback. In recent weeks, Ryback seems to care little about wins and losses, instead focusing on utter destruction. Three Stages of Hell seems to be made for such a Superstar. WINNER: Ryback
Watch their wild pull-apart brawl from Raw|See photos of their Last Man Standing Match
Jake Grate: There’s no doubt that “The Human Wrecking Ball” is one of the most impressive and imposing competitors to impact WWE in quite some time. Cena, however, is a 13-time World Champion and one of the greatest Superstars of the modern era. The Champ retains. WINNER: Cena
John Clapp: I’m not convinced Cena can actually pin Ryback’s shoulders to the mat. Luckily for the Cenation, the resourceful Champ doesn’t have to in order to escape Three Stages of Hell with the WWE Title. WINNER: Cena
Cena: 3, Ryback: 2

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

The WWE Championship is widely recognized as the most historic championship in WWE.
Dating back to 1963, the WWE Championship was first awarded to Buddy Rogers after he defeated Antonino Rocca in the finals of a tournament in April. Since that time, the biggest names in the business have held the title, including Bruno Sammartino, Andre the Giant, Bret Hart, The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
